Agustín has a PhD in Physic. In 1994 he started to work in the Oil and Gas Industry, joining YPF in Argentina. Faced with data issues in his reservoir work, he joined efforts with others to digitally transform information systems and workflows in the company.

In 1999 YPF was bought by Repsol. He continued to work on improving Upstream IT and information systems while initiating the first technical knowledge management program for Repsol. Recent roles include leading the Geophysics depth Imaging and R&D team (2011-2015); leading Exploration Data to improve access to information while initiating Digital transformation in Exploration (2015-2018); leading global E&P Information Management (2019-2023).

Agustín is now an independent consultant actively working on Digital Transformation in the Energy sector, from O&G to renewables. His work includes developing new solutions while accelerating human adoption of changing technologies including how to adopt Artificial Intelligence.
