Dr. Martin R. Gonzalez is Innovation and Technology Principal within bp’s Oil and Gas Technology organization.
Marty has been with bp for nearly 30 years, holding individual and team leader roles in applied research, operations, process design, capital projects, and refinery commercial optimization.
Marty has been developing digital applications for bp’s operations since 2016. His current focus is on AI-based decision intelligence and digital twin technologies for oil production and refining operations.
Marty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
