Miral Tawfik is a lead reservoir engineer in Chevron. Prior to Chevron, she worked as a reservoir engineer in BG Group in Egypt and Tunisia.
Tawfik received the 2025 SPE Giovanni Paccaloni Young Professional Service Award, the 2024 Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Houston Role Model award, as well as the 2022 SPE Gulf Coast Section Exemplary Volunteer Award. She served on multiple industry committees, including as Chair of the SPE GCS Data analytics study Group (2023-2024), and Deputy Chair of the SPE Diversity & Inclusion committee (2024-2025).
Tawfik holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum & energy engineering from The American University in Cairo, and a PhD degree in Energy and Mineral Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
